Last month, I scrolled through Vice journalism peers on my Twitter feed talking about incoming layoffs. They unsurprisingly heard about the layoffs from an outside source first before any internal news. I tried to Google an article to cite here about how many people were laid off, but the results just reported on the incoming layoffs. The layoffs have since happened, which I know about through Twitter.
